Hello to January 2025! This month has been interesting to say the least but luckily we made to the end of it! It's been an up and down ride for me- but I'm happy it's getting easier. Peet's Coffee French Roast Dark Roast Coffee: This coffee is such a perfect dark roast (I blame my sister for getting me hooked onto this coffee) and it's pleasant as a cold brew coffee too (if you make your own that is). Tiesta Loose Leaf Lavender Chamomile Herbal Tea: This tea had a nice undertone of sweetness that was pleasant to me! I had gotten a loose leaf tea strainer for Christmas last year and this was the tea I picked out to put into this strainer. Little Women by Louisa May Alcott: This was such a wholesome, classic book- filled with sweet, tender moments and then some sad moments. The book focused on love between these four sisters- no matter how they showcased it- and I wasn't mad about it at all. The Hunting Party by Lucy Foley: A murder mystery in the Scottish highlands during New Years'? Sign me up! Anyways, this book did have a bit of a slow build-up (only criticism I had with this book) but gradually got better towards the near end of it. You Shouldn't Have Come Here by Jeneva Rose: This book I wasn't super sure about in the beginning, but it gradually got better towards the latter half of the book (didn't see some of those plot twists coming while I read this). Beautiful Ugly by Alice Feeney (my January 2025 BOTM add-on): This book- WOW! It was full of twists and turns- a lot I didn't see coming! Definitely don't want to be on a deserted island for too long... The Three Lives of Cate Kay by Kate Fagan (my January 2025 BOTM pick): This read I was hooked from the time I started until it ended. I loved finding out who this persona of Cate Kay was- it was very fascinating to me! She had to what she needed to do in order to protect herself after an accident with her friend, Amanda, when they were driving cross country to pursue their acting dreams. Made me laugh in bits, and my heart ached for all the lovey-dovey stuff (what can I say? I'm a sucker for that stuff). The Five Year Lie by Sarina Bowen- listened to this via Spotify audiobooks- This was such a thrilling read to listen to! Kept me guessing until the near very end- enjoyed it very much!
