February 2024 Monthly Favorites | What Did I Love For Love Month? (yes I know cheesy...)

Hello, all! It's time for a new favorites post for ya! Currently as I'm typing this, I've been sick for what has felt like a month (it's only been a week; came back from a trip dealing with it)- just stuffy, can barely talk at times, sore throat, etc. But I've been doing all the things- resting, having tea/lozenges, medicine, etc. It's good to somewhat to feel like myself again! Anyways, lemme share the faves!

Favorite TV Show and / or Movie(s) I've Either Watched or Streamed: 10 things I hate about you via Freeform / disney+- I know it's sad I hadn't seen this movie but one weekend I caved and watched it and loved it. Sucker for 90s rom-coms or really just rom-coms in general.

Favorite Coffee and / or Tea: Blk & Bold Brighter Days Whole Bean Coffee- this coffee had such a nice bright note to it and was pleasant to drink- this was a new brand to me so I was excited to try this when I did a Target order this month. They make a whole slew of different ones (ie: Rise & GRND) and I'll link if you are interested- https://www.target.com/p/blk-38-bold-brighter-days-blend-light-roast-whole-bean-10-5oz/-/A-82033045#lnk=sametab

Favorite Book(s) I've Read: Ready or Not by Cara Bastone (my February Book of the Month pick- early release pick: came out on 2/13/2024)- this book is described as: Eve Hatch lives for surprises! Just kidding. She expects every tomorrow to be pretty much the same as today. She loves her cozy apartment in Brooklyn that’s close to her childhood best friend Willa, and far from her midwestern, traditional family who has never really understood her. While her job is only dream-adjacent, it’s comfortable and steady. She always knows what to expect from her life . . . until she finds herself expecting after an uncharacteristic one-night stand.

The unplanned pregnancy cracks open all the relationships in her life. Eve’s loyal friendship with Willa is feeling tense, right when she needs her the most. And it’s actually Willa’s steadfast older brother, Shep, who steps up to help Eve. He has always been friendly, but now he’s checking in, ordering her surprise lunches, listening to all her complaints, and is . . . suddenly kinda hot? Then, as if she needs one more complication, there’s the baby’s father, who is (technically) supportive but (majorly) conflicted.

Up until this point, Eve’s been content to coast through life. Now, though—maybe it’s the hormones, maybe it’s the way Shep’s shoulders look in a T-shirt—Eve starts to wonder if she has been secretly desiring more from every aspect of her life. Over the course of nine months, as Eve struggles to figure out the next right step in her expanding reality, she begins to realize that family and love, in all forms, can sneak up on you when you least expect it.

Favorite Music:

The Glass by Foo Fighters- this song anytime it came on- it was an feeling can't even describe- I'll link it: https://youtu.be/RVpFu31xxWo?si=iLknJlXQg92V2YxY
Burning Down The House (Talking Heads cover) by Paramore- this song is funky, good, and very upbeat- enjoyed it so! I'll link it: https://youtu.be/qrjHhIGl90I?si=7Wb6HKncTKIT-4LD

Favorite Body Care and / or Skincare:

Being Frenshe Lavender Cloud Hair, Body & Linen Spray- this spray is incredible, long-lasting, and not too overwhelming on scent (which this sensitive skin girl greatly appreciates!) It's also great on the hair and on your linens, too (in case you were curious). I'll link it for ya: https://www.target.com/p/being-frenshe-hair-body-38-linen-mist-body-spray-with-essential-oils-lavender-cloud-5-fl-oz/-/A-85360333#lnk=sametab
