Today's post is sponsored by Fall. I just love how the leaves change, weather gets cooler, and it's the season I was born in. So, naturally, I love this season. I'm going to be sharing with you my Fall bucket list. I wrote up to 11 things I'd like to complete before Fall ends and winter keeps us indoors. So grab a mug of your favorite drink, and warm up to this post (in a good way of course).
#1: Make Pumpkin Seeds (a sweet variety + a salty variety):
I've always enjoyed these but for some reason I've never bothered to make them. I want to do a sweet variety (cause Fall... it's about those sweets) and a salty variety (I've got more of a salty tooth than sweet so I'm hype about making these).
#2: Doing a DIY Pumpkin Face Mask:

Self Care is important year round but come Fall- it's even better. This particular DIY I've never made before so I'm willing to try this (most face masks store bought aggravate my skin). It's all things you have in your kitchen- canned pumpkin, plain yogurt, honey, coconut oil + ground oats.
#3: Taking a Fall walk and snapping photos of the vivid changing leaves:
These are some good examples here (both of these photos I took a couple of years ago on a walk on the boardwalk near where I live). So, grab your camera / phone, and capture each photo as if it was something you've never seen before.
#4: Take In Gratitude Daily / Do a Gratitude Journal:

This something we don't take in account daily. Sometime we forget what gratitude can mean. But taking it in daily is a nice reminder that life is good and all is well (when sometimes you feel like it isn't). And doing a list daily in your journal of things you are grateful can make you appreciate life even more (the list here can be endless).
#5: Carving / Painting Pumpkins:

This probably something I wouldn't do (as I am not one liking to be messy) but I let it go if I wanna carve or paint a fun design on any pumpkin. For some reason, I like the white ones. But if you like the orange ones, that's okay, too. I have an idea in mind for my pumpkin (see the second photo). And just have fun with it, it's Fall after all!
#6: Read a Book Inspired by The Fall Season:

There are many books you can choose from but the epitome of Fall is Harry Potter. I'm a huge fan of this series (loved it ever it I was a kid!), and it's a good start (the movies are equally as good as the books). Another book series I like (or more so my sister has read) is the Hush, Hush trilogy / saga. And to top it off, any books with vampires I personally enjoy (since I had an obsession with them in high school) like Twilight, The Vampire Diaries, Dracula, Interview with a Vampire, etc. It all depends on your preference and what you like in a book.
#7: Make a Homemade Pumpkin Spice Latte:

If you're aware, the Pumpkin Spice Latte screams Fall; but I know that not everyone is a huge fan of it. But I also realized that Starbucks' recipe isn't fully dairy-free, so I cannot have it. So, instead, I used the recipe (picture above) to make my own at home. It tastes 10x better than the Starbucks one. I use canned pumpkin, almond milk, your choice of coffee / two shots of espresso, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and pumpkin pie spice for the recipe (if you wanna be extra- try it with the So Delicious Dairy Free Original Coco Whip on top with more pumpkin pie spice- it's a life changer!). Try it out for yourself.
#8: Curate a Fall Music Playlist:
Fall is such a cozy season. I don't think I've said that enough. But anyways, having music that reminds you of the season (think soft acoustic music and songs that have autumn / fall / leaves in the title). I love making my own for this season (it's sad sometimes to listen to but I like it). I have my own on Spotify if you wanna check it out- spotify:user:1229631288:playlist:7rjGqMrSlpoppdLjrmaOhG
#9- Buy Fall Inspired Flowers to Decorate:

This is one photo that epitomizes Fall in it's own hindsight. Find ones in Fall colors, or get Mums / Sunflowers (they are beautiful for this season). It's an easy way to Fall-ify your home base.
#10: Make an homemade apple pie:

Typically, I go for pumpkin but I thought I would branch out and make something different. Plus apples baked into a pie pan with the warm spices of the season (ie cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, etc) and topped with pretty lattice pattern to make it all fancy. This will be delicious, I just have that feeling inside. Plus baking is the best in the Fall season, too.
#11: Have a Movie Night (classic, Disney, etc.):

This I think is probably one of the other reasons Fall / Halloween is such a great season for movies in general. You can get the coziest blankets/pillows, a big mug of PSL / Cider / Tea / Hot Cocoa, and put on one of the movies I'm going to list below.
The list is (some of these I've seen / some I've chosen not to watch / some I've never seen ):
- The Nightmare Before Christmas
- The Exorcist
- Nightmare on Elm Street (the original one; not the remake + none of the sequels)
- Friday the 13th (the original one; not the remake + none any of the sequels)
- Disney's Halloweentown Series
- Hocus Pocus
- Halloween (the original one; not the remake + the sequels either)
- Good Will Hunting (this movie screams Fall)
- Dead Poets Society (this movie also screams Fall, too)
- Scream
- The Shining
- The Craft
- Insidious series (this tops the scary element for me- only saw the 3rd one in theaters)
- Poltergeist (the original one; not the remake or the sequel either)
- Paranormal Activity series
- Harry Potter series (epitomizes Fall)
- Practical Magic
- Dracula
- Interview with a Vampire
- Twilight series (the original will always be best; the last two movies in the series weren't my favorite)
So I hope you enjoyed my take on a Fall bucket list. I normally don't these but I thought it was a fun idea to do. Anyways, see you peeps in a future post!
