Continuation of the events from 2014 (pt. 2)- 1.1.2015

Happy New Year, everyone! I'm going to continue the events that I left off from either July or August of last year. Hopefully, I'm going to remember some of these days.

Unfortunately, I have no recollection of what I did in July of 2014. But luckily, I remember what I did in August 2014.

August 2014
This month my family and I went on vacation to Ohio; we went to visit some hot spots (in my perspective) such as the rock and roll hall of fame and museum and the cedar point theme park in Sandusky, Ohio. Was a pretty fun trip if I may add. Then also this month, I began a new chapter in my life- VOLUNTEERING! So, I go there everyday and do some volunteer work (unless otherwise noted). We went and put backpacks together for those kids that needed it off and on. Also, even more awesome news: I made two amazing, carefree funny friends out of it. They are the ones that kept me sane throughout that month. Also, the place I'm volunteering at moved this month to a newer, nicer office. Now onto September!

September 2014
Most days this month at the office included mainly just relaxing and working on productive activities (packets). One day we went out to lunch (Friendly's), and lemme say I wasn't the happiest of a camper when I got back.  The best part about going to the volunteer place everyday was that I got to see my friends. Yay! I also learned a lot about (mainly) Nintendo gaming through one of my friends named Joey. He's like in love with Nintendo anything. It's a nice thing. Got to get to know both of my friends well enough (also mainly) through gaming. Did usual things at home like you know getting food, chores, and taking care of Hyatt. Also, I dealt with the very fun seasonal allergies this month (I mean that so sarcastically) and one night I decided to put on "Home Alone 2" and it helped but my allergies still overtook me as usual. One weekend, my family and I decided to go to a Washington Nationals baseball game (which was fun of course). Not too much else happened so onward to October!

October 2014
This was the month for ordering my halloween costume and my friends trying to figure out what they were going to be. I decided one day to watch one of my fave movies on Netflix which was "The Nightmare Before Christmas" (I needed costume inspiration for it). It did help by the way. Most days at the place consisted of walking to kmart, playing wii, and doing whatever we wanted (which is days I liked and preferred). My costume came that month to which it was Sally from "TNBC" [It was an alternative to the dress- just a patchwork quilt shirt with fingerless gloves that had the stitching on it. And did my own makeup for it, too]. On some days at the place, we had days of where we could go to the mall so I went to a (much nicer) mall one day and it was awesome. Since it was halloween this month, my dad decided to carve a pumpkin and use a stencil on front of my dog, Hyatt. He (Hyatt) got a shock collar due to his excessive barking. He was all around me, panicking and things like that. I also got to have my friend Joey over this month and to surprise all of you [we started to begin liking each more other back in September of when we went to Friendly's] and that same day he came over we kissed. I know its going to sound gross here, but his lips were so soft. Ah! That's surprising now, huh? Teehee... Yep! One day at the office, some of the cilents and I decided to go to a farm and go on a hayride, go through a corn maze and get pumpkins and apples. Got to go bowling this month too with my friends which was fun. Had a Halloween party at the end of October, to which their was a costume contest [My Joey went as Jack from TNBC, and my other friend went as Touko White from "Pokemon"]. Joey ended up winning the costume contest. Yay! Enjoyed seeing the trick or treaters later on that night, too. Now, onto November!

November 2014
One day we went out to dinner for my dad's birthday (which was last month) to a seafood restaurant with family and extended family. Very good food, if I may add. Went bowling again (three times) this month at the place and helped clean a church up, too. Also, my Joey (being the awesome gentlemen he is) is being nice and being the payer for our first date on my birthday. He made my day so much better when he did that. =) To express our (somewhat start) of me and Joey's relationship, we danced to "I've Had the Time of my Life" on Just Dance 4 on Wii (it was awkward but I loved it). Celebrated my b-day a day early (11/16) for my parents and step grandma's sake. I had a wonderful pasta dinner that night and got a buttload of gifts from family, too. I received a Ninja Blender set, a vera bradley purse, charms/spacers for my pandora bracelet, a Jack White "Lazaretto" album on vinyl (so awesome by the way), "Just Dance 2015" for Xbox One, and a recipe book to go along with my Ninja blender set. For my 22nd birthday at the volunteer place, we went out to lunch [it being my Joey and I's first date, too] at Greene Turtle. It was a nice day, too. Got cupcakes back at the office [didn't make me feel too good later on so yeah] and enjoyed the rest of my day at home, too. One day at the office, we went out to get items for a project later on and I got to partially somewhat help out with it, too. Also, one sweet moment my Joey did on that same day, lied down on my lap and gave me a peck on my hand as he is playing his Nintendo 3DS. =) Continued to go to the volunteering place daily and my Joey discovers Oovoo and we could video chat on there every (other) day if we wanted to. So, I could get to see his face (virtually of course). Also, my best friend decides to get me as a late birthday/early xmas gift which was figurines of Lafayette, Sookie, and Bill from one of my favorite TV series "True Blood". Best gifts ever! Also, began decorating my room for Xmas this month, too and enjoyed Thanksgiving at my Aunt's house. Now onto December!

December 2014
As usual, continued to go to the volunteering place everyday (did look for an Xmas tree for the room I'm in there, played wii as usual, chilled, did other volunteer work on some days and did whatever). Finally, I got a chance to get my family and friends there christmas gifts (and a few things for myself). That same day got to Ledo's for lunch and got a delicious vegan pizza and some salad with dressing. YUM! Also, one day some fancy people donated stuff (as xmas gifts) to the room I go to in the morning (lots of games, crafts, and movies). Played Monopoly one day with one of the older clients and let her win (I was tired of playing the game anyways). I decided one day this month to go ahead and stay home to get some things done (made a cookie dough up for mom- her and I had a lot of baking to do- made a set of cookies for Joey, and made my dad's xmas food gift up too). Monday the 22nd was my last day before I went on Christmas vacation at the center; gave my friends there xmas gifts (got my Joey a "Super Mario Bros." game for wii, a mario figurine, and a big box of Reese's miniature peanut butter cups; got my other friend a blonde brownie mix in a jar, a $15 dunkin donuts gift card and a jar of homemade honey lemon sugar body scrub) and continued to enjoy my day there as well. Tuesday, we left to go to my grandparents' for the holidays and made it safely down there. Stayed until the 30th of December. I did enjoy my Christmas with my family and extended family. I got a buttload of stocking stuffers, a Wii U, a Vanilla Bean Noel body and fragrance set from bath and body works, a Frosted apple body and fragrance set from Victoria's secret, hello kitty PJ set, slip on booties, a handmade knitted hat from my sister, a popcorn charm for my pandora bracelet. Had a spaghetti dinner with family and enjoyed hearing my uncle and cousin sing (by the way, my cousin she has an awesome singing voice!) The next day we celebrated a traditional British day called Boxing day with extended family. It wasn't too bad at all. Most of my other family member got some gifts and stocking stuffers.  Had a nice dinner (for me): Gardein beefless tips, gravy, yorkshire pudding (a biscuit), peas, carrots, and potatoes. YUM! Opened these fun things called crackers with little trinkets inside. Everyone left that Saturday the 27th, and it was peace and quiet for all of us (most of us needed it by the way as it was so loud). Got to go out with my momma and great aunt one day and to Panera as well. Made horrible guacamole, helped out some with dinner, and watched some of "Frozen".  Another day got to go to Kohl's and I got a new coat, boots, leggings, and shirts, too. Packed all items up to go home the next day. The 30th came, and we went home (we all were exhausted and picked Hyatt up from the kennel) and got all items unloaded and had pizza for dinner. Got out of the house for a bit on 12-31-2014 with my sister and mom and enjoyed a good dinner and the new years eve specials, too.

Have a happy 2015 to everyone! Wish you happiness, health and prosperity in the new year!

TTFN!

Lauren.
